• Cervical and rigid spinal orthotics: biomechanics, fitting demonstration
• Fitting lab: cervical and rigid spinal orthotics

Wednesday

• Review of second day’s material
• Anatomy of extremity joints (knee, ankle, elbow, wrist, shoulder)
• Prefabricated extremity bracing: biomechanics, fitting demonstration
• Venous insufficiency and compression therapy
• Fitting demonstration: therapeutic compression stockings
• Fitting lab: compression stockings, extremity bracing

Thursday

• Review of third day’s material
• Anatomy of internal structures related to the biomechanics of orthotics
• Abdominal supports for hernia, bariatrics, maternity
• Effective marketing and promotion of a fitting service
• Overview of home medical equipment: mobility aids, wheelchairs, bath safety
• Overview of post-mastectomy products
• Closed book, written in-class examination of material
